i am not a god
for, if i was,
the world would end
in fire.
my rage would
swallow you up
whole, rendering you
weak to my
tyrannical feast.
the land would be
scorched beneath me.
how beautiful the
blaze would be.
i'd make sure to
leave you with
nothing,
sweet nothing to
allow even the
hope of survival.
i'd want to see you dancing,
helpless in the embers,
praying to me for
the ultimate salvation.
i'd let the flames consume you.
they'd make a snack out of
my measly seconds,
my washed up lover,
my half-baked romance.
i wouldn't cry.
i'd warm myself in
their glow,
whisper you a eulogy of
'good riddance.'
be thankful that you
fell in love with a
mere mortal, one who's
anger barely makes the
dust beneath her stir.
my tongue may burn, but
at least my words aren't lethal.

Originality Technique ImpactVery good skill in your writing. The piece flowed very smoothly and it all linked together well. The word choice was very strong and the imagery was fantastic. And there were no grammatical errors that I could detect. The piece used very strong pathos to get your emotions across while still being enjoyable, which is an admirable technique. It caused a strong sense of empathy that made me feel the feelings you were feeling towards your-ex-boyfriend I presume? It doesn't matter I suppose-very strongly. I could understand how you were feeling. I can see the effort that was put into this piece of art.
